Electromobile Ltd was founded in January 2000 by Jeff Burroughs and Graham Moore.  The company developed with 2 aims in mind. Firstly to offer vehicle tracking, security and mobile telephone equipment to our own customer base and secondly as a support service partner to other companies. We became a service partner to Siemens Datatrak installing new equipment into customers vehicles as well as offering a service to repair, remove and refit systems as required, we quickly became a major service partner both looking after major clients locally and then nationally. During 2001 we worked with the other service partners installing the 1500 systems ordered by initial Rentokil, Medical and Health. We installed 475 of these the largest number by a single service partner. We also handled the bulk of the installation work for Kwik Fit Mobile, a division of Kwik Fit and installed all of the system at Chelmsford at Henley. At Henley we completed 47 vans in 3 days. Working as a team we could turn vehicles around in 45 minutes. |

Our relationship with Kwik Fit mobile has continued and we now prepare each new vehicle for the Tracking system, in-vehicle computer and mobile phone equipment. We also designed the new power supply unit for the computer system when these no longer became available. We have worked with Bellan Ltd a company supplying a security product to the AA. We have fitted this part to every new AA vehicle made in the last 3 years. This totals over 2000 vehicles now. Last year we assisted Siemens with the design and implementation of the tracking and monitoring systems fitted to 200 prisons lorries for Reliance. We had 12 stages to the build with our parts being fitted in sequence with the building of the vehicle. We also designed and implemented the monitoring system for the hatches, fire alarm panic switches and status notification. During 2005 we designed and installed a generator monitor system for 2 of the countries largest generator companies. This enabled them to see the fuel levels, faults and general status of each machine in real time 24/7 together with the location of each when they were being delivered and on site. This work resulted in 130 systems being fitted last year and we have just won another order for an additional 80. We are a service partner to Tracker Ltd together with being the number 1 independent dealer in the South East Region. Now established in our own premises in Bury St Edmunds, we employ an experienced team of full time engineers, Graham Moore and Jeff Burroughs, the owners are still enthusitically involved with the day to day running of the business and are often to be found working alongside the engineers or with customers offering training and support. The company also benefits from having the support of nationwide sub contract engineers, and an admin team based at the Bury St Edmunds office. |
